Petal Power

Petal Power (Elizabeth Rieniets, 2023) is a remarkable, late-blooming bearded iris that commands attention with its painterly, color-forward display. This 19" (48.5 cm) beauty features white standards dramatically shaded and dotted in blue-magenta violet, finished with a vine grape rim and a reverse deeply saturated in blue-magenta violet. The style arms echo the vine grape hue, accented with Indian yellow edges. Falls are luminous white at the center, artistically lined and dotted with blue-magenta violet, and encircled by a bold 1/2-inch vine grape rim, all enhanced by ruffled, serrated edges. Beards are a dynamic blend of ford blue at the base with old gold tips. With its graphic patterning and vibrant contrast, Petal Power is a true garden showpiece and a collector-grade addition for any iris enthusiast. Parentage unknown.
