This award-winning variety features rich, medium dark purple-blue blooms accented by bold dark orange beards and a pronounced spicy fragrance. Blooming midseason to late, Paul Black is the result of a cross between Tom Johnson and Star Fleet. Its impressive accolades include the Franklin Cook Cup (2004), Honorable Mention (2005), Walther Cup (2005), Award of Merit (2007), Wister Medal (2009), and the prestigious American Dykes Medal (2010).
