Painted Words

Painted Words (Barry Blyth, 2015) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its painterly color palette and refined form. Reaching 34" (86 cm), this early to midseason bloomer features butterscotch standards with a magenta wash and veining at the midrib, contrasted by rose-magenta falls edged in a precise ³⁄₈" band of standard color. The bold burnt tangerine beards add a vivid accent, while a slight sweet fragrance enhances its garden appeal. With its gallery-worthy coloration and memorable presence, Painted Words is a collector-grade addition for any iris enthusiast. Hybridized from notable parentage, including Electric Candy and Peal of Bells siblings, this iris is a testament to masterful breeding and is available from Amethyst Creek Farm.
