Orange Arc

Orange Arc (Ginny Spoon, R. 2017) is a captivating SDB iris that commands attention with its painterly blend of color and refined form. Reaching 11" (28 cm) in late midseason, this Winterberry 2017 introduction features erect, domed standards in a sophisticated greyed rose (RHS 185C), complemented by sculptural style arms shaded lavender at the midribs. The falls are a luminous greyed orange (172A) with a dramatic mahogany brown (175A/B) veining around the beards, which are white tipped in vivid orange (24A). Slightly ruffled petals and a musky fragrance add to its garden-showpiece appeal. Bred from ‘Velvet Elvis’ x ‘Craisin’, Orange Arc is a memorable, color-forward addition for collectors and landscape enthusiasts alike.
