Opposites

Opposites (Shirley Trio, 2013) is a tall bearded iris reaching 33" (84 cm), blooming from midseason to late. This award-winning variety features elegant white standards edged in gold, complemented by white style arms with gold fringe. The falls display a rich dark blue-purple, encircled by a lighter blue band, and are accented by a prominent white blaze surrounded by cerulean-blue, with subtle chocolate lines radiating from the heart. Vibrant gold beards complete the sophisticated color pattern. Bred from Starring X Midnight Moonlight and introduced by Fleur de Lis Garden in 2012, Opposites has earned both an Honorable Mention (2015) and an Award of Merit (2017).
