Old Sport

Old Sport (Schreiner's Gardens, 2025) is a gallery-worthy Tall Bearded Iris that delivers a dramatic, sculptural presence to any landscape. Reaching 34" (86.5 cm), this midseason to late bloomer features a rare "flattie" form with vivid violet standards, some artistically streaked with white, and luminous white style arms. The falls echo the violet theme, energized by lighter, graphic striping for a high-contrast, painterly effect. Beards with yellow bases and white tips add a touch of intrigue. With its bold coloration, dynamic patterning, and commanding stature, Old Sport is a collector-grade centerpiece—perfect for those seeking a memorable, conversation-starting bloom. Hybridized by Schreiner's Gardens and introduced in 2025. No rebloom reported. Attributes: Rebloomer
