Object Of Affection

Object Of Affection (Michael Sutton, 2023) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its bold, painterly color play and sculptural form. Reaching 34" in height and blooming midseason to late, this hybridizer’s dream features luminous white standards brushed with apricot at the edges and a dramatic deep pink flush up the midrib. The style arms are white with apricot crests, while the falls showcase a rich rose hue veined darker, accented by a lighter yellow-orange area below the fire red beards and finished with a crisp 1" white band. Heavily ruffled petals and a sweet fragrance add to its garden-showpiece appeal. Bred from Magical X Shell Beach and introduced by Suttons Iris Gardens in 2023, Object Of Affection is a field-stopping, collector-grade addition for any iris enthusiast. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Edge Trim, Ruffled, Veining
