Mystic Image (Richard Tasco, R. 2016) is a captivating tall bearded iris that stands at 37 inches (94 cm) and blooms in the midseason. This exquisite iris features light bronzed yellow standards with a delicate rosy plum wash over the midrib, extending towards the edges. The style arms are a vibrant yellow with a rosy plum blush accentuating the midrib and streaking on the crests. The falls are a plush burgundy-black, adorned with bright yellow-orange veins flanking the beard, which has bronze-based hairs with rusty brown tips. The moderately ruffled petals and medium purple-based foliage add to its allure. Notably, Mystic Image exudes a pronounced baby powder fragrance, enhancing its appeal. This iris, a cross between Smoky Shadows and Latte, was introduced by Superstition in 2016 and received an Honorable Mention in 2019. Available exclusively at Amethyst Creek Farm.
