My Generation

My Generation (Larry Lauer, 2009) is a tall bearded iris reaching 34" (86 cm), notable for its early to late bloom season and reliable reblooming habit. The standards display a white base overlaid with rich aster violet (RHS 89A) and lighter aster violet veining, complemented by matching aster violet style arms (88A). Falls feature a crisp white ground with aster violet lines that intensify toward the petal edges, finished with a delicate thin white rim. The beards are hyacinth blue (91A) at the tips, transitioning to indian yellow (17B) in the throat. This ruffled variety is distinguished by its pronounced sweet fragrance. My Generation is a cross of Double Dribble and a seedling from Clarence x Mariposa Autumn, and was awarded an Honorable Mention in 2012. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
