Mountain Violet (Bernard Hamner, 1984) is a tall bearded iris reaching 36" (91 cm), notable for its early midseason bloom and reliable reblooming habit, especially in climates like California where it can flower as early as February. This variety features pastel violet standards delicately flushed with faint pink, complemented by deeper violet falls (RHS 84C) and a vivid tangerine beard. Bred from Entourage x Heather Blush, Mountain Violet was introduced by Hamners Garden in 1985 and received an Honorable Mention in 1989. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
