Miss Nellie

Miss Nellie (James Burch, 1983) is a distinguished border bearded iris reaching 27" (69 cm) in height, blooming early to midseason. This variety features elegant standards in greyed yellow (RHS 160C) softly blended with pale violet (84D), while the falls display a rich dark red-violet (71A) edged with light violet (80B). The yellow-green (153D) beard adds a unique accent. Bred from Child Star x Mexicali, Miss Nellie has received multiple accolades, including the Knowlton Medal (1990), Award of Merit (1987), and several exhibition honors.
