Mighty Mad

Mighty Mad (Tom Burseen, 2021) is a truly singular tall bearded iris, celebrated for its dynamic color play and sculptural form. This late-blooming, 34" (86 cm) variety features luminous violet-blue standards with a lilac center, complemented by oxblood red style arms edged in apricot buff feathering. The falls are a rich, saturated burgundy, dramatically accented by orange beards in the throat that transition to yellow and finish in white, all topped with burgundy flounces and looped ruffles. Mighty Mad is further distinguished by its pronounced sweet fragrance, making it a memorable, exhibition-grade addition for collectors and garden enthusiasts alike.
