Midnight Idol

‘Midnight Idol’ (Jim Hedgecock, 2024) is a commanding tall bearded iris that brings a bold, dramatic presence to the garden. Reaching 38" (96.5 cm) and blooming midseason, this remarkable variety features dark purple standards with deeper veining at the midribs and elegantly ruffled edges. The falls are a saturated, near-black purple with subtle lighter rims, further enhanced by ruffled and fluted form. Burnt gold beards add a vivid, painterly contrast. Bred from ‘Teamwork’ x ‘Brazilian Holiday’, ‘Midnight Idol’ is a true garden showpiece—perfect for collectors and anyone seeking a memorable, high-impact centerpiece for their landscape. No noted rebloom or fragrance. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Edge Trim, Ruffled, Veining
