Midnight Gossip

Midnight Gossip (Hooker Nichols, 2020) is a remarkable Tall Bearded iris that brings a dramatic flair to the garden with its bold, saturated color palette. Standing at 36" (91 cm), this early to midseason bloomer features rich red-black violet standards and style arms, while the falls deepen to an even darker red-black violet, accentuated by a luminous lighter violet blaze around the beard and crisp white haft markings. The beards themselves are based blue with dark bronze tips, offering a sophisticated contrast. A subtle fragrance adds an extra layer of allure. A true rebloomer, Midnight Gossip has demonstrated repeat bloom in Montana (Zone 4b), making it a dynamic and enduring choice for gardeners seeking extended seasonal interest. With its painterly patterning and gallery-worthy presence, this cultivar is a standout addition for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Bred from seedling 2011-36 and 'Ozark Rebounder', Midnight Gossip is available at Amethyst Creek Farm for those seeking a bloom with undeniable pedigree and visual impact.
