Metaphor

Metaphor (Bryce Williamson, 1977) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its radiant, painterly blend of light apricot-blond and peach, enriched by apricot-orange and nectarine tones. The shoulders evoke the subtle hues of unripe cantaloupe, while a soft coral-red beard adds a memorable finishing touch. Reaching 38" (97 cm) and blooming midseason, Metaphor is a collector-grade, exhibition-ready variety with a dynamic color palette and refined presence. Bred from Avanti x Launching Pad by Pacific Coast Hybridizers, this cultivar is a standout addition to any garden, offering both pedigree and visual impact. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
