Mauve Mistress

Mauve Mistress (Michael Sutton, 2019) is a charming Standard Dwarf Bearded iris reaching 12" (30 cm) in height, introduced in 2020. This early-blooming variety features pale red-purple standards with a hint of violet at the midrib base, complemented by mauve style arms and a violet stigmatic lip. The falls display a rich rose-purple hue with a darker thumbprint and a delicate ice blue spot just below the end of the beard. Beards are based in pale violet, transitioning to orange-red tips and finishing in white. Mauve Mistress is beautifully ruffled and offers a pronounced sweet fragrance.
