Major Tom

Major Tom (Larry Lauer, 2003) is a distinguished Tall Bearded Iris reaching 32" (81 cm) and blooming in the late midseason. This variety features mimosa yellow standards and canary yellow style arms, complemented by falls in blended sea lavender and violet with a violet brown rim. The falls are further enhanced by intricate darker brown and cream patterning surrounding a vivid nasturtium orange beard. Major Tom is notable for its ruffled form and pronounced sweet fragrance. Bred from (Role Model x Citoyen) X Thrillseeker, it received an Honorable Mention from the Tall Bearded Iris Society in 2005. Available from Amethyst Creek Farm.
