Lucky Dragon

Lucky Dragon (Richard Tasco, 2019) is a captivating arilbred iris (OGB-) that commands attention with its luminous, painterly palette and award-winning pedigree. Reaching 23" (58 cm) and blooming in the late midseason, this remarkable cultivar features standards of ethereal light blue, subtly glowing with pale maize at the midrib and delicate maize veining. The style arms are light blue, edged and ridged with light golden bronze, and crowned by fringed light blue crests. Falls are a very light blue, fading to near-white at the edges, dramatically punctuated by a bold brown-brick red signal with orange-brown highlights and short, strong red-brown lines radiating outward. The beards transition from yellow gold in the throat to aster violet at the tips, adding a vivid accent.
