Loyalist (Schreiner, 1986) is a tall bearded iris reaching 37" (89 cm), blooming midseason to late. This variety features ruffled, rich claret wine standards and falls, complemented by a cerise claret beard. Bred from 'Master Touch' and select Schreiner seedlings, Loyalist is recognized for its vibrant, saturated color and elegant form. It has received multiple honors, including the Honorable Mention (1988), Favorite Guest (1988), and Award of Merit (1992). Loyalist is a non-reblooming iris and is not noted for fragrance.
