Los Coyotes
$12.00
Los Coyotes (Tom Burseen, 1992) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm) and blooming early to midseason. This variety features brilliant, pure golden yellow standards—brighter than RHS 21A—and falls with a golden yellow ground dramatically streaked and veined in vivid red (near 46B), finished with a fine yellow edge. The ruffled blooms are accented by gold beards and offer a spicy fragrance. Los Coyotes is a result of careful hybridizing, with parentage from Théâtre, Dazzling Gold, Prosperity, and Sun Toasted. Recognized for its unique coloration and garden performance, it received an Honorable Mention in 1997. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
