Little Freak

‘Little Freak’ is a truly singular novelty iris, bred by John Steel and introduced by Roger Nelson in 1999, that brings a bold, sculptural flair to the garden. This 22" (56 cm) midseason bloomer is instantly recognizable for its flat, six-fall form—each fall a pristine white, crisply edged with a fine medium violet plicata margin. The luminous medium yellow beards add a painterly pop of color, making ‘Little Freak’ a conversation-starting centerpiece. With no standards and unknown parentage, this diploid iris is a collector-grade standout, perfect for those seeking a garden specimen with undeniable personality and pedigree. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
