Lingering Lilac

Lingering Lilac (Michael Sutton, 2020) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its vivid, color-forward blooms. Reaching 37" (94 cm) and blooming from early to late season, this hybridizer’s dream features hyacinth blue standards and style arms, contrasted by rich methyl violet falls edged in deeper tones. The beards are a captivating blend—pale tangerine in the throat, transitioning to white at the middle and ends—creating a painterly, high-contrast effect. With its pedigree from Haunted Heart x Huckleberry Pie, Lingering Lilac is a standout, exhibition-grade addition to any garden, offering a memorable and photogenic presence.
