Knock Em Dead (Richard Ernst, 1993) is a tall bearded iris reaching 38" (97 cm) and blooming in midseason. This award-winning variety features butter yellow standards edged in creamy white, while the falls display a unique lavender blue hue with a subtle brownish cast and a golden yellow cream edge, complemented by a buff reverse. The yellow beards and heavily ruffled form add to its visual appeal. Sibling to Competitive Edge, Knock Em Dead received an Honorable Mention in 1996 and an Award of Merit in 2000.
