Judy Mogil

Judy Mogil is a gallery-worthy Tall Bearded Iris introduced in 1999 by James McWhirter and Abram Feuerstein, celebrated for its extraordinary flat, novelty form. This cultivar dazzles with painterly lavender-blue petals, animated by irregular lighter streaks that create a luminous, opalescent effect. The pale blue style arms and distinctive beards—whitish with yellow tips in the throat, sometimes absent—add to its singular appeal. Reaching an impressive 32" (81 cm) and blooming midseason, Judy Mogil is further elevated by its refined purple-based foliage. With a pedigree from ‘Proud Tradition’ and ‘Alaskan Seas’ and an Honorable Mention in 2000, this collector-grade iris is a true statement piece for any refined garden.
