Japanesque

Japanesque (Bertrand Farr, 1921) is a gallery-worthy novelty iris that brings a sculptural, painterly presence to the garden. Reaching 30" (74 cm) in midseason, its six petals spread horizontally in a semi-flat, dramatic display. The luminous lavender-white standards are delicately flecked with violet, while the falls are a rich violet subtly washed with lavender, all set off by a bold bronze-orange beard. With its unmistakable form and vivid, color-forward palette, Japanesque is a collector-grade centerpiece that transforms any border into a living work of art. No rebloom reported.
