Inkblot

Inkblot (Keith Keppel, 2017) is a tall bearded iris reaching 37" (94 cm), introduced in 2018 by renowned hybridizer Keith Keppel. This late midseason bloomer features reed yellow standards and style arms, contrasted by concord falls that lighten in a dramatic waterfall pattern toward the edges. A thin, pale foxglove central line and large, conspicuous blotches darker than pyrethrum yellow flank the beard, while the petal edges are softly blended in olivesheen and hemp tones, faintly flushed with slate-purple. The beards display yellow ochre in the throat and middle, transitioning to a tan-yellow and lavender-blue mix at the ends. Bred from Silk Road x Foreign Agent, Inkblot was awarded an Honorable Mention in 2021. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Edge Trim Awards: Honorable Mention
