Initiative

Initiative (Richard Cayeux, 2015) is a tall bearded iris reaching 33.5" (85 cm), blooming in the late midseason. This elegant variety features cream-white standards and amethyst falls, with a lighter center and a subtle infusion of olive-yellow around the yellow-bearded throat, finishing with a white tip. Initiative is notable for its refined color contrast and sophisticated patterning. Bred from a distinguished lineage including Grenade, World Premier, Sixtine C., Conjuration, Fabuleux, and Aurélie, Initiative was introduced by Cayeux in 2016. No rebloom or fragrance is noted.
