Indelible (Sutton, 2024) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm), introduced for the 2025 season. This reblooming variety opens in early midseason with a pronounced sweet fragrance. The standards are a rich, strong purple (RHS N87B) veined with moderate violet (RHS 86A), complemented by matching style arms with a darker crest. The falls are near black, subtly lighter at the edge and in the throat, and are accented by vivid yellow-orange beards. Bred from 'Huckleberry Pie' crossed with a select seedling from 'Brilliant Disguise' x 'Autumn Rain', Indelible offers dramatic color contrast and reliable rebloom performance.
