Imperial Commando

Imperial Commando (Howard Dash, 2022) is a memorable Tall Bearded iris that brings a gallery-worthy presence to any garden. Reaching an impressive 45" (114 cm) and blooming late in the season, this cultivar features luminous cornflower blue standards and style arms, contrasted by deep, dramatic blue falls with a crisp white zone around the beard and intricate dark blue veining. The beards are a dynamic blend—orange in the throat, shifting to white in the middle, and finishing with blue tips and blue flounces—creating a painterly, high-contrast effect. Bred from ‘Stealth Fighter’ X ‘Battlestar Atlantis’, Imperial Commando is a pedigree-worthy, field-stopping addition for collectors and enthusiasts. Its sculptural form and vibrant coloration make it a true landscape centerpiece. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Novelty, Space Age
