I Feel Lucky

I Feel Lucky (Thomas Johnson, 2006) is a tall bearded iris reaching 47" (119 cm) and blooming late in the season. This variety features sultry blue-purple standards and blue-purple style arms with buff yellow highlights. The falls are a rich blue-violet with a blue overlay, deepening in color around the vivid blue beards. Noted for its sweet fragrance, I Feel Lucky offers fully formed, ruffled, and laced blooms with strong, show-quality stalks bearing 3 branches and 6-8 buds. Bred from 'Nora Eileen' x 'Hook', this iris was introduced by Mid-America Garden and received an Honorable Mention in 2009. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
