Hyperspace

Hyperspace (Leonard and Kathie Jedlicka, 2009) is a gallery-worthy Tall Bearded iris that radiates with painterly color and sculptural form. Reaching 29" (74 cm) and blooming midseason, this cultivar features rich pink-lavender standards edged in deeper lavender, with style arms blending pink and lavender for a refined, artistic effect. The falls are light lavender-pink with medium lavender edges and luminous orange-pink hafts, while the vivid pink-tangerine beards are accentuated by consistently long, arching lavender spoons, horns, and pink feathers. Ruffled, laced, and diamond-dusted, Hyperspace offers a slight sweet fragrance and a pedigree that will appeal to collectors and hybridizers. Notably, rebloom has been observed in California USDA Zone 8, making it a dynamic choice for those seeking repeat performance. A true centerpiece for any border or show garden, Hyperspace is available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
