Husky

Husky (Paul Black, 2014) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm), blooming midseason to late. This variety features dark lilac standards with indigo veining and a wide plum-blended band, complemented by dark brown-plum style arms. The falls display a light gold haft with auburn veining and sanding, transitioning to dark lilac with a paler area near the beard and a deeper edge, accented by plum texture veins and a blended band. Mid caramel beards and pronounced ruffling add to its appeal. Husky is noted for its pronounced spicy fragrance. Hybridized by Paul Black and introduced by Mid-America in 2014, it received an Honorable Mention in 2018. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
