House Of Cards

House Of Cards (Paul Black, 2016) is a tall bearded iris reaching 33" (84 cm), blooming from early to late season. This variety features standards with a mid lilac rib and pale lilac center, heavily washed and mottled with mid lilac, blending into a wide light lilac band. The style arms are mid tan, accented by a smoky lilac ridge extending into the crest. Falls are warm white with a dramatic dark red-violet center stripe, surrounded by a ¾" mid red-grape plicata band and dotting, with hafts washed and dotted red-grape and dark violet veins beside the beard. The beard itself is based white, transitioning to mid orange in the throat, greyed orange in the middle, and greyed white at the end. A slight musky fragrance adds to its appeal. Bred from a Devil’s Delight pod parent sibling crossed with Deep Currents, House Of Cards is available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Fragrant, Speckled, Veining
