Hot Orange

Hot Orange (Paul Black, 2019) is a remarkable miniature dwarf bearded iris that commands attention with its bold, color-forward presence. This early to midseason bloomer features mid-light peach-pink standards and mid-dark apricot-orange style arms, creating a vivid, painterly contrast. The falls are a rich mid peach-orange, accented by minimal darker plicata sanding over the haft, while the beards are large and fully saturated in brilliant orange. With a slight spicy fragrance and a compact 7.5" (19 cm) stature, Hot Orange is a dynamic, garden-showpiece selection—perfect for adding a vibrant, arresting pop to borders or collector beds. Honored with an AIS Honorable Mention in 2022, this pedigree-worthy iris is available from Amethyst Creek Farm. Parentage: 'Peppito' X 'Lovable Pink'.
