Here Comes The Night

Here Comes The Night (Schreiner, 2009) is a commanding tall bearded iris that delivers a dramatic, gallery-worthy presence in the garden. Reaching 36" (91 cm) and blooming early to midseason, this cultivar features extraordinary, saturated black petals (RHS 202A) that create a bold, high-contrast effect. The beards are a captivating blend: violet in the throat, transitioning to yellow and finishing with a yellow-buttermilk flare, adding a painterly touch to each bloom. With its flared form and pedigree from Adventuress, Magic Man, Thunder Spirit, and Midnight Revelry, Here Comes The Night is a medal-worthy, field-stopping showpiece—perfect for collectors and those seeking a statement-making centerpiece. Honorable Mention, AIS 2011. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Fertile Awards: High Commendation, Honorable Mention
