Headed for Stardom

Headed for Stardom (Jim Hedgecock, 2019) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its bold, color-forward presence. Reaching 32" in height and blooming midseason, this cultivar features dark wine-red standards and luminous yellow falls overlaid with red-pink, all dramatically framed by a ¼" dark wine-red plicata border. The fluted, ruffled petals and dark orange beards add to its sculptural, gallery-worthy appeal, while a slight mild fragrance lends a refined touch. Bred from ‘Select Circle’ x ‘Bubble Bubble’, Headed for Stardom is a pedigree-worthy, exhibition-grade iris that makes a dynamic statement in any garden. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
