Ground Rules

Ground Rules (Keith Keppel, 2024) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its dynamic color play and pattern-forward design. Standing at 36" and blooming midseason, this cultivar features concord standards with subtle cream white shading, violet style arms with paler shoulders, and narrowly edged brown crests. The falls are a luminous sulfur yellow, paling to white at the edge and heart, dramatically accented by near-solid concord striated plicata markings on the margin and haft. Beards are blue white with a violet midline base and antique gold tips, adding a refined touch. With variable ground color and patterning, Ground Rules is a collector-grade, exhibition-ready iris that brings a bold, graphic presence to any garden. Hybridized by Keith Keppel and introduced in 2025. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Edge Trim, Veining
