Great Balls Of Fire (J. Terry Aitken, 2011) is a tall bearded iris reaching 38" (97 cm) and blooming in the late midseason. This award-winning variety features fluorescent orange standards with a pink flush along the midribs, while the falls display a white zone around the beard that blends into bright yellow, finished with vivid orange at the petal edges. The beards are a brilliant orange, creating a bold and vibrant display in the garden. Bred from Cut Above and Orange Fluorescence pollen parent, Great Balls Of Fire received an Honorable Mention in 2013 and an Award of Merit in 2015. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
