Grand Canyon Gold

Grand Canyon Gold (Margie Valenzuela, R. 2006) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm), blooming midseason to late. This variety features yellow standards and style arms, with falls in matching yellow overlaid by a unique blend of lavender and rustic melon wash, intensifying to golden yellow at the edges and a bold yellow center stripe—colors that deepen with heat. The beards are a vivid brassy gold, turning orange in the throat. Notably ruffled, Grand Canyon Gold often produces terminal blooms with four of each floral part.
