Gnu Rayz

Gnu Rayz is an award-winning intermediate bearded iris introduced by Brad Kasperek in 1996. This unique variety reaches 26" (66 cm) and blooms in the early midseason. Gnu Rayz features violet standards and style arms (RHS 83B), with greenish yellow falls (1C) that are veined and edged in violet, creating a vivid contrast. The lavender beards are tipped with orange tan, adding further interest to its ruffled blooms. Gnu Rayz is lightly fragrant and is a result of the cross Tiger Honey X Flea Circus. Recognized for its exceptional qualities, it has received the Honorable Mention (1999), Award of Merit (2002), and the prestigious Sass Medal (2004). Available from Amethyst Creek Farm.
