Girl Trouble

Girl Trouble (Lowell Baumunk, 2011) is a commanding tall bearded iris that delivers a gallery-worthy display in early midseason. Towering at 41" (104 cm), this cultivar features luminous lavender standards with lighter centers and sculptural style arms touched by deeper lavender highlights. The falls are a crisp white canvas, dramatically edged with a 3/8" purple band lined and speckled in purple, while a bold purple stripe extends more than halfway down from the beard. Vivid purple speckles radiate around the yellow-to-lavender-white beards, creating a painterly, pattern-forward effect. With its pedigree from High Priestess, Elizabethan Age, and I Feel Good, Girl Trouble is a remarkable, conversation-starting centerpiece for any collector or show garden. Honored with an AIS Honorable Mention in 2016, this iris is a true field-stopper, perfect for those seeking a memorable, high-contrast bloom with undeniable presence. Awards: Honorable Mention
