Giocoso

Giocoso (Kimberly Rieniets, R. 2024) is a captivating intermediate bearded iris reaching 26" (66 cm) in height, blooming midseason. This variety features standards with a pale yellow center, delicately dotted and shaded with cola tones, and cola-colored edges. The style arms are a vivid safety yellow, accented by cola-fringed crests and subtle cola shading at the center. Falls display a rich American yellow, with the throat lined and dotted in Bulgarian rose, a bold midline, and a 1/4 inch rim of solid Bulgarian rose, complemented by heavier dotting and shading. The beards are orange at the throat, transitioning to black-tipped orange in the middle and sparsely black-tipped orange at the end. Giocoso offers a slight spicy fragrance and is a cross between 'Drama Queen' and 'Lively Tune'. Grown at Constant Garden Farm and available at Amethyst Creek Farm for the 2025 season.
