Gay Parasol

Gay Parasol (Schreiner, 1973) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm) and blooming in midseason. This award-winning variety features light lavender standards with near white highlights, while the falls display a rich pansy rose-violet hue, elegantly pin-edged in the same color as the standards. The beard is a soft lavender-white, adding a refined touch to the blossom. Bred from Davis Melodrama seedling and Margarita, Gay Parasol has earned multiple accolades, including Honorable Mention (1975) and Award of Merit (1977).
