Gambling Man

Gambling Man (Keith Keppel, 2013) is a tall bearded iris reaching 38" (97 cm), introduced in 2014 and recognized with both an Honorable Mention (2016) and Award of Merit (2018). This midseason bloomer features chrome lemon standards and style arms, accented by a lavender midrib and lip. The falls display a rich gradient from lobelia to columbine blue, edged with a subtle 1/16" pineapple yellow blend. Haft areas are softly blended with absinthe yellow and liver brown, while the beards transition from mustard chrome in the throat to mustard-yellow at the end, with a lavender-white hair base.
