Fruit Stripe

Fruit Stripe (Michael Sutton, 2008) is a reblooming bearded iris introduced in 2009, recognized with an Honorable Mention in 2013. This early midseason bloomer reaches 23" (58 cm) and features vibrant standards of yellow orange flushed with pink purple at the midrib, complemented by yellow orange style arms. The falls display a unique blend of greyed orange with a bold red-purple wash and a greyed orange rim, while the beards are greyed orange tipped with orange. Fruit Stripe offers a slight sweet fragrance and has demonstrated reliable rebloom in regions including California, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and New Mexico (USDA Zones 7a, 8, 9).
