French Riviera

French Riviera (Thomas Johnson, 2009) is a tall bearded iris reaching 36" (91 cm) and blooming from midseason to late. This variety features dark yellow standards that lighten toward the edges, complemented by lemon yellow style arms. The falls are a vibrant yellow, washed with medium red-brown below the beards and deepening to a rich mahogany near the dark yellow bands. Mahogany veining accents a white patch beside the yellow beard, adding intricate detail. French Riviera offers a slight fragrance and is a product of the cross Impulsive X Whispering Spirits.
