French Lavender

French Lavender (John Painter, 2010) is a tall bearded iris reaching 38" (97 cm), blooming in the late midseason. This elegant variety features lavender purple standards with wide mauve edges, complemented by matching falls edged in mauve and highlighted with gold shoulders. The style arms echo the lavender purple tones, while the beards are gold tipped with white at the end. The blooms are beautifully laced and ruffled, and emit a spicy fragrance. Bred from Cameo Kiss and a seedling of Latin Lark x Romantic Evening, French Lavender was introduced by Napa Country in 2011 and received an Honorable Mention in 2013.
