Foxfire (Edwin Fox, 1953) is a distinguished tall bearded iris reaching 40" (102 cm) and blooming in midseason. This award-winning variety features a vivid, bright yellow self, making it a vibrant addition to any garden. Bred from Bryce Canyon x Ola Kala, Foxfire has earned multiple accolades, including the Honorable Mention (1953), Award of Merit (1957), and the Franklin Cook Cup (1957). Guardian Garden irises are endangered cultivars preserved through long-term stewardship rather than routine sale. When a Guardian Garden variety is offered, it reflects that a sustainable stock level has finally been reached within our collection; availability remains intentionally limited to protect the cultivar’s future.
