Foolish Dreamer

Foolish Dreamer (Keith Keppel, 2011) is a tall bearded iris reaching 40" (102 cm) and blooming in the early midseason. This award-winning variety features standards in a unique aster violet effect, created by hyacinth over cream, with the cream showing toward the center. The style arms are bishops violet with greyed violet tips, while the falls display a sulphur yellow center surrounded by a wide lilac to plum edge. Lemon yellow and white beards are accented with blue and dull yellow at the end. A sibling to Sorbonne and a cross with Dreaming Clown, Foolish Dreamer received an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society in 2013. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
