Flying Circus

Flying Circus (Keith Keppel, 2003) is a dazzling Intermediate Bearded iris that lives up to its name with a vibrant, painterly display. Early to bloom and reaching 24" (61 cm), this cultivar features luminous apricot standards softly flushed with pale lilac, creating an opalescent glow above sculptural peachblow style arms. The falls are a true spectacle: crisp white grounds with peachblow shoulders, dramatically washed and lined in rich, reddish mulberry plicata, and finished with a buff edge for added dimension. Vivid flame-orange beards ignite the center, providing a bold, graphic contrast. With a pedigree that includes a sibling to 'Sneezy' and 'Stormy Circle,' and an Honorable Mention from the AIS in 2007, Flying Circus is a collector-grade, show garden centerpiece. Notably, it has demonstrated reliable rebloom in USDA Zones 5 and 7 (IN, OR), making it a dynamic and memorable addition to any landscape. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
